In our video, my partner, Elizabeth Tran, and I made equal contributions to make a very nice video. We each choose our own websites to read about coliform bacteria and to research the different ways it could get into our water and what it does exactly. For example, I chose to base most of my research on the article "Coliform bacteria" written by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. (On this website.) Then we both worked on coming up with ideas for our video. I suggested a "draw my life" style of video while Elizabeth suggested more of a story-telling type of video. By the end of our brainstorming session, we ended up going with both ideas and we added little characters to help clarify the information we were drawing out. Elizabeth did a lot of the art and came up with most of the character designs and I did quite a bit of the writing in the video. The last thing we did for our video was add the voice over and edit. Elizabeth wrote a script based off the information we found during research and then I recorded the entire voice over.
I think we did a really good job organizing our information so that it played in a way that made understanding easier. I also think our video, because it had nice visuals, would be really good for the intended audience, in this case, little kids. We were told too, in our feedback, that our sound was really good because it remained consistent and there weren't points were it needed to be turned up or down. Something that I think we could've improved on would be slowing down the voice over because we ended up speeding or slowing up certain clips which looked a little weird in some parts. Something we were told to improve on in our feedback was to just finish editing our video.
The thing we struggled with the most was coming up with an idea and a script to format our video with. Since we finished our video, I'd say we got past this challenge. By combining our ideas and constantly going back and redoing everything, we eventually came up with something we both liked and what fit into the requirements.
